Our hives are robust and bursting with bees probably 50,000-70,000 bees in each hive. We use 8 frame equipment to help manage the weight of the hives that we have to lift, this helps with beekeepers back! We live in a wooded area and the bees have plenty to forage on. Our Spring honey is typically lighter from the tree pollen and nectar. In the summer, itās a bit darker and often in fall it can be really dark. Our girls produce amazing honey. We only take what they can spare, we leave each hive with a minimum of 100 pounds of honey for the winter. Our girls come first.
